·         Some of us do zikr in the bathroom as we are in the habit of doing it constantly.
o   Unintentional deeds are forgiven by Allah J so nothing to worry there!! Shaitan makes us forget to do zikr and reminds us to do it in such places. Fight him!!

·         The reasons why cow dung and bone are not allowed to be used for cleansing purposes are:
o   Cow dung and Bone cant absorb.
o   Bones are the food of Jinns, hence the Prophet s.a.w asked us to leave them for our Jinn brothers and not dirty them
o   Cow dung is used as a fuel and it as certain bacteria which are harmful for the human body.

·         If we are in toilets where they is no water( specially in foreign places!! ) then we should try to always carry a small empty bottle to carry water in the bathroom and try not to make a mess there with our water. We can use the tissue and then the little amount of water we have. If no water, then we should make good use of the tissue and clean our selves !!

·         If a person has nothing to wear except one pair of clothes and they are dirty(najas) then a person should still pray. A person cannot avoid praying.

·         If we get up late and we need to go to the toilet and the  time for fajr prayer is passing, then one can judge for one self!! Go to the toilet and relieve one self and pray , as long as he /she is sure that he wont dirty him/her self while praying.

·         Don’t  talk in the bathroom, on the phone, to some one outside while attending to toilet matters.

·         Using the English style commode is alright.

·         We cannot wear a locket of the ka’ba and go in the bathroom. As it is among the Signs of Allah.

·         It is necessary to “veil” one self while attending to toilet matters as it is a symbol of “haya” and a difference between animals and humans.

·         Angels of protection and other angels leave us when we enter the bathroom.

·         We can carry a tasbih in our pocket and enter the bathroom as it is just a “tool” for the purpose of Zikr.
·         DON’T make dua of entering the bathroom  inside;if you forget to pray it outside.
·         Reciting Kalima after washing hands or bathing after intercourse or menses to make one ‘paak” is NOT supported by  sunnat.
Kalmia cleanses the heart , water/sand cleanses the body.

Some points to be noted our:
These rules have been made for our good. We have developed some habits due to ignorance , we should make dua and strive hard to change them iA Allah will help!!
Secondly, we need to understand, if we cannot see, smell any filth treat it as a simple room. But, if we know that dirty diapers , used sanitary napkins are in the dustbin inside the bathroom and  though we can’t smell them or see them we should still follow the rules of the Toilet and leave and not take our time.
